- Successfully defended a prominent business owner against a breach of fiduciary duty claim alleging the company’s public offering after a settlement violated the rules of disclosure.
- Negotiated the dissolution of a marriage with multi-million dollar assets, including valuation and division of the real property and a complex settlement agreement for buy out of spousal support and valuation and division of a business.
- Obtained emergency custody and visitation orders that awarded custody of children to a client against a drug and alcohol addicted parent, which led to the successful treatment of the addicted parent.
• Successfully tried a breach of fiduciary duty case whereby the client had been defrauded of significant stock options by the former spouse.
- Represented and advised a client with drug and alcohol dependency, developing a customized package of services that guided the client through an emergency screening and custody assessment, resulting in joint custody and an equal timeshare schedule.
- Located and traced a separate property claim that was more than a decade old and valued at approximately $77,000 on behalf of a stay-at-home mother.
- Established regular visitation rights on behalf of the grandmother of her seven year old granddaughter.
- Successfully worked with forensic accountants and and other investigative professionals to discover financial accounts and sources of income hidden by a spouse.
- Obtained court permission for a parent to move to a foreign country.
- Negotiated the custody of a child between unmarried parents.
- Obtained an initial restraining order for a client, and later, a court order mandating professionally supervised child visitation, parenting classes and individual therapy for a troubled parent. The parent complied with all of the court’s provisions, and the parties eventually negotiated a custody and visitation schedule to their mutual satisfaction and for the good of the child involved.
- Tried contentious "move away" and abduction issues, in both domestic and international contexts.
- Handled cases involving unique occupational considerations, such as stock options, business validation, tax, and retirement.
- Initiated and defended against enforcement of support and custody orders, including contempt proceedings and foreclosure actions.
- Successfully represented a parent whose children were abducted by a spouse, and orchestrated the return of the children by working with local and international agencies.
- Prepared deferred sales contracts for divorcing couples who could not sell their houses due to depreciating property values.
- Negotiated partnership dissolutions and other ownership issues involving company owned businesses, such as restaurants and catering companies.
