Focus - Family Law

Michele focuses on all aspects of family law, including child custody and visitation, move-aways, domestic violence, child support, spousal support, valuation of property, and division of assets.  Familiar with complex legal and emotional issues involved in family law proceedings, Michele works closely with clients to help mitigate the stresses that can often arise in complex divorce and custody cases. In addition, she handles date of separation disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, reimbursement claims, valuation of equity compensation, stock options and businesses, paternity disputes, post-nuptial agreements, and marital settlement agreements.

Michele focuses on all aspects of family law, including child custody and visitation, move-aways, domestic violence, child support, spousal support, valuation of property, and division of assets.  Familiar with complex legal and emotional issues involved in family law proceedings, Michele works closely with clients to help mitigate the stresses that can often arise in complex divorce and custody cases.   • Named to the Northern California Super Lawyers – Rising Stars, 2009 and 2010.

Representative Matters

  • Obtained orders for sole physical and legal custody for clients in cases with alcohol and drug dependency issues.
  • Received a favorable custody evaluation on behalf of client seeking to move internationally with minor children.
  • Successfully defended a set-aside challenge to undo division of assets and termination of support in a marital settlement agreement.
  • Actively engaged forensic accountants and other investigative professionals to uncover financial accounts and other sources of hidden income by a spouse, which resulted in a substantial attorney fee award for client.
  • Negotiated a 10+ Million Dollar Comprehensive Settlement Agreement involving large stock and equity accounts.

Professional and Community Contributions

Michele is a member of the Executive Board of the Women Lawyer’s Committee of the Santa Clara County Bar Association.
